According to Alexander Belokobilsky, deputy CEO of the all-season resort, the occupancy rate was 100%. This season all limitations on entry to Krasnaya Polyana were lifted. New transportation facilities were installed, consisting of electronic signboards on roads leading to Krasnaya Polyana, showing vacancy rates and availability of sky passes at the resorts. This helped to reduce the lines at equipment rental and ticket offices, and the now larger number of restaurants at Rosa Khutor.

Over the New Year holiday break, Rosa Khutor resort became a hub of culture and entertainment at Krasnaya Polyana, hosting a number of events. A 10th anniversary Millionaires’ Cup, a unique sporting event for alpine skiing aficionados of all income levels, took place at the resort. Participants competed against the stars of a music festival Christmas at Rosa Khutor, who spent 3 days at the resort with the support of Channel One.

Over one weekend in January a philanthropic game took place at the ski resort’s skating rink, with the participation of legendary Russian hockey players. Among the hockey stars on ice were: Viacheslav Fetisov, Alexei Kasatonov, Valeri Kamensky, and Alexander Mogilny. The honorable hockey veterans played against Rosa Khutor’s team and won 11: 7. Vladimir Potanin, the head of Interros and the President of NorNickel, became the best sniper of the game after scoring a hat-trick. All funds raised through the game — some one million rubles — were donated to Sochi’s municipal winter sports center for children and youth.

In addition to skiing over the New Year holiday break, Rosa Khutor offered guests another form of recreation — recuperation. Rosa Springs, a 4-star hot spring hotel opened its doors at the Mountain Olympic Village. Here, hotel guests will have the opportunity to take healing mud baths, take the waters, undergo diagnostics and treatment, visit massage salons and four types of baths and pools at the spa, and exercise in aerobics room and a gym.
