The aim ofthe project isto give Russian museums anopportunity topublish information ontheir exhibits, which being stored inthe archives, had never had achance tobecome public. However these artworks have undeniable artistic, historic and scientific value. They deserve tobe included into national and international cultural heritage.

By offering tothe museum experts anopportunity toget involved into this project the V.Potanin Foundation and the Interros Publishing Program expand the options for the Russian museums toparticipate inthe A Changing Museum ina Changing World Contest: all Contest’s participants regardless the year oftheir application are eligible for the First Publication Project in2008.

The Project provides for two tofive publications ayear. The books will beoffered ascorporate gifts, donated tolibraries and museums and will beavailable atbookstores. The First Publication Project was launched in2007with Yegoryevsk History and Art Museum and M.A.Vrubel Omsk Regional Arts Museum becoming its first winners.
