In September 2012 Vladimir Potanin Charity Foundation and Russian International Olympic University (RIOU) will announce a special contest for applicants wishing to complete the Master of Sport Administration (MSA) educational programme.
2 July 2012 the Vladimir Potanin Charity Foundation launched two-year pilot programme «Endowment: A Strategy for Growth». The programme is aimed to develop endowment funds in Russia as a social and charity institution. Representatives of the non-profit organizations which are establishing or willing to raise their endowments are allowed to take part in the program. 25 winners of the contest will undergo the training at NES within special two-year educational course «Effective Fundraising for Endowments». The programme will be implemented in partnership with the New Economic School and The Donors Forum.
Interros has taken the decision to branch out its Cinema Park chain, previously part of the Profmedia holding company, into an independent business. Representatives from Profmedia and Interros are to sit on the Board of Directors which will take care of the strategic management of the company.
The biggest national cinema chain Cinema Park has announced today the acquisition of 100% of Rising Star Media shares (operates under the brand name Kinostar de Luxe) from UFG Private Equity, owned by Shari Redstone and Paul Heth. By the end of 2011 Rising Star Media will be fully integrated into the Cinema Park chain. The acquisition was financed by Interros shareholder Vladimir Potanin.
Vladimir Potanin and Mikhail Prokhorov finished a series of deals terminating their mutual trust and released each other from mutual claims. Entities close to M. Prokhorov purchased all OPIN shares owned by V.Potanins entities.
