Business Concept

Interros operates as an investment company, rather than a conglomerate or a holding company. Interros manages several large companies and takes part in elaboration of their strategic development plans.

The operations of the companies owned or managed by Interros comply with modern standards of corporate governance. Each company has its own independent management. Alongside other shareholders, representatives of Interros participate in the activities of the Boards of Directors of the companies and focus particular attention on involving independent directors in this work.

Interros concentrates on direct investment and monetary assets management. Interros practices the highest standards of business ethics and the conservative and time-tested approach to investment.

The company’s principal objectives are to:

  • manage available assets efficiently;
  • provide for increased investment in the Russian economy;
  • assist Russian companies in entering the world market.

Interros promotes the formation of a favorable investment climate in Russia by: improving the system of corporate governance in its companies, preparing them for adopting a code of corporate conduct and switching over to the international accounting standards, and implementing social and educational programs. Interros representatives actively participate in businessmen’s associations and organizations to help advance reform and improvements in Russia’s economy and legislation.

Interros investment policy centers primarily on:

  • increasing the market value of the companies of the group;
  • implementing sectoral and geographical diversification of investments;
  • securing leading positions on the market;
  • bringing the companies onto the stock market.

Interros works to enhance asset management efficiency and to implement new investment projects, which enable to reduce risks and increase the profitability of the companies of the group.

The managers and employees of the company realize full well that Interros should be a key player on the Russian market, carry out projects ensuring high returns and strategic positions in the industry, and focus on turning the corporate assets into financial assets in order to secure an opportunity for stepping out of the project with flying colors.

Direct investment is a priority for Interros, since this provides for control over assets and full participation in the making of the most efficient management decisions in the interests of the shareholders. Control over assets is based on shareholding, participation of Interros representatives in the activities of the companies’ boards of directors, design of development strategies and engagement of professional managers. Such control allows the generally accepted standards of corporate governance to be introduced, a stable growth of capitalization to be achieved, a clear dividend policy to be pursued, and new investment to be attracted.

Interros strives to implement joint investment projects with the strategic partners capable of bringing in new market knowledge and skills and of sharing the financing commitments and risks with Interros. Interros has a vast experience of interaction with Russian investors, and is also interested in cooperation with reliable foreign partners.

The company does not invest in projects posing unjustifiably high commercial risks, smacking of illegal or criminal business, or fraught with the danger of irreconcilable conflicts with partners or the authorities.

Maintaining a balance between the running yield and a growth in the business value is the main criterion in decision-making on participation in and withdrawal from a given investment project. The success of the project is rooted in the creation of a team of professional managers well-versed in investment operations and the specifics of the given sector.
