(Joint Stock Commercial Bank) Rosbank is a diversified private financial and lending institution ranking high among top ten Russian banking institutions. As of January 1, 2009, Rosbanks net worth amounted to Rbs 45,467,55 million, with the aggregate assets standing at Rbs 957,699 million. Interros and the French Societe Generale Banking Group are the principal Rosbank shareholders. It serves 300 biggest Russian enterprises, such as Almazjuvelirexport, Gazprom, RUSAL, Norilsk Nickel, Rosneft, Severnaya Neft (Nord Oil), Svyazinvest and others. Being one of the leading underwriters and lead-managers on domestic corporate and municipal bonds markets Rosbank actively develops its investment activities. The Bank provides different credit services to small and medium-sized enterprises. As of the 2006 year end, the amount of credits, allocated to SME grew 3.6 times to Rbs 6.9 bln.; more than 6 thousand enterprises receives funds for their development. Cooperation with the Russian and foreign financial and lending institutions helps to secure advantageous terms for posting client payments, efficiently run the Banks own liquid assets, and draw additional funds. Rosbanks correspondent network includes the Bank of New York, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Commerzbank, Credit Suisse First Boston, HSBC Bank USA, Sampo Bank, IntesaBCI, Nordea Bank Norge A.S.A., and other dependable banks. Private banking remains one of the most important activities of Rosbank. Total number of its private banking customers has grown to over 1,500 individuals, with their account balances exceeding $1.5 bln. Since its founding Rosbank implements social projects. One of them is «New Day» Grant project, organized in cooperation with the United Nations International Childrens Emergency Fund (UNICEF) and the United Nations Foundation. ROSBANK also launched a corporate charity program for the banks employees private donations, named «Everybody Has the Right to Help». The Bank also supports cultural projects: exhibitions at Moscow Kremlin Museums and production of new plays at «Sovremennik» theater. Rosbank has credit ratings from three major international agencies, including Moodys, Standard & Poors, and Fitch. Banks key goals and objectives for 2004-2008:
- joining Russias top five banks in terms of assets and market capitalization;
- achieving at least 3% to 5% share in key segments of the banking services market;
- further developing its retail business;
- maintaining solid positions on the corporate business services market;
- expanding services to small and medium-sized businesses;
- developing and streamlining the branch network.
In 2006, «The Banker» magazine named ROSBANK «The Bank of the Year» in Russia. Also, in 2006, Rosbank received the «Company of the Year» in the «Banks» nomination, awarded by the Russian business magazine «Kompaniya». It is also a laureate of the Association of Russian Banks national award «Most Transparent Bank».
