One more structural unit has been established byMMC Norilsk Nickel. OnApril 1, 2007the Corporate Educational Centre (Moscow Head Office ofthe Company) and Personnel Training Centre (Polar Branch, Norilsk) were merged into Norilsk Nickel Corporate University, anon-governmental educational institution.

The new division will responsible for all internal corporate procedures related topersonnel education and training. Moreover, the Corporate University will carry out analysis ofthe Groups labor needs.

Norilsk Nickel Corporate University isan entity duly established under the Federal Education Law, and has awide range oflicenses toperform asan educational institution.

According tothe University Rector Mr. Veniamin Kaganov, The level ofeducation inour institution will becertainly higher than intraditional learning centres. Our existing and future programs are devised soas toprovide skills and knowledge ofuniversity level. Weshall invite the leading specialists ofthe Company and the best lecturers from other educational institutes and universities toparticipate inour courses and classes.

Mr. Kaganov also notes that the Corporate University plans toprovide education and training services tothird-party customers inthe longer term, thus stepping out onthe CIS market asa leading corporate educational institution.

MMC Norilsk Nickel currently runs about 6,000learning programs and training courses for 300most important professions. In2006, more than 30,000employees ofthe Company took part invarious corporate educational programs.
