Norilsk Nickel has won first place in terms of charity work among the Russian and foreign companies — participants of the project «Leaders in Corporate Philanthropy» set up by the Donors Forum. The company showed an absolute record — 7 billion rubles in 2015. This is a 2.5 fold increase in spending compared to 2014.
Norilsk Nickel’s philanthropic program «World of New Opportunities» was elected the «Best program aimed at promoting the ideas of philanthropy in society». It is being implemented since February 2014 and aims at supporting and encouraging regional public initiatives to create favorable conditions and opportunities for sustainable socio-economic development of the Arctic territories.
In 2015, over 60 Russian and foreign companies operating in Russia with an annual turnover of over 100 million rubles took part in the Donors Forum project.
