The rating is put together annually by Extel, a British company that studies the global investment climate.

This year, according to the rating, Nornickel came out as a leader in a number of categories.

The survey named Mr. Malyshev, Nornickel’s Senior Vice-President, the best financial director among the mining industry CFOs in Europe. He is number two among financial directors in Russia.

«This high rating recognizes our unique team. We participate in events with Investor Relations, and we see the excellence and creativity in the way the work is organized," Mr. Malyshev said.

Nornickel was also named # 1 in the Best IR category among European mining and metals companies, and the best of all Russian companies. Nornickel’s IR department staff, with Mr. V. Zhukov, the Vice President in charge of investor community relations, himself at the helm, took all top individual ratings in the Best IR Professional category among Russian companies. In the European mining sector, they made it to the top three in the same category.

More than 16 thousand investors from 90 countries took part in this year’s survey, including more than 500 global investors and analysts of European mining and metals companies.
