The NCCG HAS PUBLISHED the Хth EDITION of the ANNUAL «NATIONAL CORPORATE GOVERNANCE REPORT»

The National Report’s opening chapter analyzes the sociocultural and institutional aspects of corporate governance in Russia.

The Report follows in the footsteps of other publications that explore the implementation by Russian companies of the 2014 Code of Corporate Governance recommendations. As in the previous publications, the Report takes an in-depth look into ways to improve corporate legislation and the effectiveness of corporate governance in companies where the government owns a stake. The role of executive boards in fighting corporate corruption is explored for the first time. A chapter on the experiences of other countries discusses current trends and corporate governance practices employed in Western European credit organizations and financial institutions.

Leading foreign and domestic researchers and corporate governance practitioners contributed to the Report, presenting experiences gained at the Bank of Russia, Inter RAO UES PJSC, Deloitte, Nestor Advisors (UK), Law and Economics Departments of the Lomonosov University in Moscow, and Yegorov, Afanasiev, Puginsky & Partners law firm, among others.

In 2008, Vladimir Potanin, the Chairman of the National Council on Corporate Governance, put forward the idea of the publication, and the National Report on Corporate Governance has been published regularly ever since.
